Our Bikkur Cholim Committee was originally formed to visit congregants who are ill, but it has bloomed and expanded to such more. The committee now responds to a wide range of needs of our congregants. During COVID committee members shopped for those who were not able to get out, drove members to doctor’s appointments and even helped some to schedule their COVID shots. Now, some of our shut-ins are brought lunch after our shabbat kiddush, others receive holiday treats or flowers upon moving to a new home or apartment. In addition to calling and visiting those who are ill, the committee also assists with needs when there is a loss and shiva at home.
The work of the committee is a true blessing to our congregation and our congregants.
